  This is the first entry for the greenscarf forum on culture and education that centers and flows around teens. Culture shapes and molds teens regardless of their knowledge it is doing so. Even if we, as adults, feel we've been there, we haven't really been there. It is wise to seek wisdom from others in the field of education and youth culture, but also the youth we serve as well. As a leader, role model, and guide to the youth we serve we must also understand that we are not an island and do not have all knowledge. Remain humble and you will be allowed the ability to shape and change lives for the better. Those of us that work and volunteer in this area must understand that we have been placed in this position for a reason that goes beyond our mere attempt at wisdom. This should keep us forever humble and seeking knowledge for a life and a lifetime.
